New apartments mark rebirth of troubled Wellington housing development

After troubled beginnings in the mid-2000s which eventually saw its developer go to prison, a subdivision in hills behind Wellington central now has a new lease of life with new owners and a new concept.

Crafted Projects has bought land previously part of the Brooklyn Rise subdivision and has built 24 apartments as phase 1 of their Brooklyn Tiketike development.

These are all sold and about to be settled with their new owners.

Work is now underway nearby on 24 townhouses as part of Stage 2 of the Tiketike development.
